Established in 2002, BMS Institute of Technology and Management is a private institute accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. This institute is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. BMS Institute of Technology and Management has been recognised by the AICTE, Government of India.

This institute offers several courses such as BE, MCA, MTech, MSc and PhD. There are seven VTU recognised research centres in BMSIT Bangalore where 40 research scholars are working in diverse research areas.

BMS Institute of Technology and Management also has a Women Empowerment Cell which organises various workshops, seminars, and several other programmes. BMSIT offers specialisations in 12 departments namely Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, among others.

The highest CTC offered by BMS Institute of Technology and Management in the 2020-21 session was Rs 26.5 LPA. In the same session, the total number of offers received by the students was 509. BMSIT Bangalore awards scholarships to SC/ST students to support them in the college fees payment.
